Hello and welcome to the March edition of the Safety in the Market Newsletter.

As of Monday, 29 March 2021, Australian CFD traders will be faced with higher margins on most CFD trades, due to an ASIC order from October of 2020. If you’re a CFD trader, you can read my thoughts on this move below.

There is a difference between trading a large move in the market and achieving a large Reward to Risk Ratio. You can trade a huge move in the market and make money, but if you are risking a large amount as well, then your Reward to Risk Ratio is not going to be all that impressive.
