Escalating Returns with Intraday Gann Trading
Welcome to this month’s trade review for May 2025! This month, we’re looking at a powerful double bottom setup in the crude oil futures market – one we’d discussed extensively in our coaching sessions.
The analysis was done, the expectations were clear, and when the market delivered the setup, many of our students were ready to pull the trigger.
The setup unfolded beautifully – and while the trade was discussed in advance, every trader approached it a little differently.
The key takeaway? Your entry timing can dramatically escalate your results.
By entering on an intraday time frame, such as the hourly chart, instead of waiting for an end-of-day confirmation, some traders were able to stretch their reward-to-risk ratio from 7:1 to nearly 18:1 – all by acting when the market gave a clear confirmation, like a signal bar.
